Posted on November 18th, by The Cumquistador As we all know with serial killers, patterns begin to form the more they continue to kill. As for the amazingly addictive show Dexter, another pattern has emerged, that has semi-explained the type of women he likes. Ok, so I realize there have been dark haired vixens who have fallen for the lug, and while he tries to love them back, it still seems forced, rushed and too extreme for him to handle.
This new season is no different. Or so he would have her believe. The blondes are VERY vulnerable and suffer from a gaping hole in their hearts that desperately need to be filled. The blondes, while some of them may not have the same traits as the others one thing is for sure, they are not nearly as psycho as the brunettes. The brunettes are different. They in many ways, walk the same path he does, just to a lesser degree. They have a better understanding of why he does what he does, as opposed to the blondes where if they kill they do it for other reasons.
Dexter 8.09 “Make Your Own Kind of Music” Review: So Emotional
Hall —both are doing great work—and the show has always been intrigued with having Dexter find someone who he can share his true self with. He thought Lumen could be that person, and heck, at times he’s even found temporary comfort in his relationships with some of the Big Bads he’s gone on to kill. So yeah, it does make a good amount of sense that Dexter would, after investigating and stalking Hannah with the intention of killing her, decide to have sex with her instead.

A Perfect Mistake Dexter 8. Is he a dark protector, a guardian angel of sorts, who kills in order to save the innocent? Is he a perfect genetic specimen, a human that is not chained down by the restrictive emotions that force us to think of the benefit of others instead of solely focusing on ourselves? The easy answer would be somewhere between all three of these options; however, Dexter is thankfully not going down the easy route and is illustrating how all three of these possible explanations may hold merit.
It appears this season of Dexter, more than any others in the past, will truly delve into the divide between human and psychopath. If Dexter can have true emotional reactions and connections his need to talk to someone after Harry died, his broken relationship with Deb, etc. Evelyn Vogel and the fantastic performance by her portrayer, Charlotte Rampling. The videos of her meetings with Harry and her open conversations with Dexter about the nature of psychopaths have been some of the best scenes in this early part of the season, and I cannot wait to continue to delve into their relationship as we move further.
Vogel, we get some more emotionally brutal scenes this week between Dexter and Deb, which sucks for the characters, but is great for us as an audience because Michael C.
